Booking Terms and Conditions
QUOTES: Any quote or saved itinerary provided by a Ski Travel Company consultant is subject to change and is not confirmed until payment is received and a Ski Travel Company confirmation is provided to you. No accommodation, transport or other products will be held for you until this time. Any prices displayed on the Ski Travel Company website (www.skitravelcompany.com.au) or in the Ski Travel Company booking engine are only applicable to online bookings and may differ from similar quotes provided by a Ski Travel Company consultant.
BOOKINGS: You are making a booking with The Ski Travel Company Pty Ltd, (ABN: 12 001 900 867) who act as the booking agent for the suppliers of land component and air products. Ski Travel Company is a licensed travel agent (NSW License Number 2TA09624) and a member of the Travel Compensation Fund.
PAYMENT: The Ski Travel Company accept payment via VISA or MASTERCARD or for offline bookings by DIRECT DEPOSIT. Full payment is charged at the time of booking unless otherwise specified, in which case a deposit is charged followed by an automatic charging of your registered credit card when final payment is due, usually 60 days prior to departure. If you do not want your registered credit card charged, please notify your consultant prior to your final payment date and arrange an alternative payment method.
CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations within 80 days of departure will incur additional charges or fees as levied by the hotels, apartments or operators which in some cases can be as high as 100%. Please note all deposits are non-refundable. If you wish to cancel you are advised to contact our support centre.
AMENDMENTS: Amendments can be made by calling the Support Centre on 02 9810 1000 in normal business hours (AEST). An amendment fee of $50 will be charged per change, as well as any additional costs as a result of the change. In some cases amendments may not be possible.
COSTING & RESERVATIONS are subject to availability and actual pricing at the time of booking. Actual prices are displayed in our booking engine and may be subject to change without notice. Costs within the Ski Travel Company booking engine are expressed and processed in AUSTRALIAN dollars. Prices may change on a daily basis due to exchange rate fluctuations.
NO FEES ARE CHARGED for online bookings made on www.skitravelcompany.com.au. STC support staff are available to take phone reservations in normal business hours (AEST). A booking service fee of $20 per passenger will be charged for all phone reservations. Any verbal quote provided by STC is an estimate only of the price.
TRAVEL INSURANCE: We strongly recommend that all travellers be insured to cover against cancellation, personal liability and theft of your personal belongings (including ski/snowboard equipment). Ski Travel Company clients are entitled to a 30% discount on their insurance with Suresave, when purchased via this link www.suresave.net.au/home.php?affid=3039.
PHOTOS AND INFORMATION: Any photos and descriptions provided by the Ski Travel Company should be considered as an example only and may differ from the actual product you have purchased. While we make every effort to provide accurate and correct information, the Ski Travel Company will not be held liable for any errors or omissions relating to the description or display of products within our website or booking engine.
PASSPORTS & VISAS: A valid passport (with a validity of at least 6 months after return date) is required for all persons departing from Australia, and for non-Australians a valid Australian re-entry visa to return. Australian passport holders require an entry visa for countries (including EEC and USA for stays longer than 90 days). Non-Australian passport holders must check on their own individual visa requirements. It is the responsibility of any traveller who has a recorded police conviction (regardless of how minor) to check with the consulate of the country they are travelling to, whether they require a visa. It is the passenger’s sole responsibility to ensure they are in possession of the necessary documentation and in compliance of current government and transportation companies’ regulations. ENTRY TO THE USA: All nationals and citizens of Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries, including Australia, are required to obtain a travel authorization prior to initiating travel to the United States. This requirement commenced January 12, 2009. Authorization may be obtained online through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA), an internet application administered by the Department of Homeland Security.
As of September 9, 2010, a fee of $14USD will be charged to submit an ESTA application. VWP travelers should be aware that unauthorized third-parties have established websites, which charge visitors an additional or higher fee for information and for submitting ESTA applications. These websites are not endorsed by, associated with, nor affiliated in any way with the U.S. government.

LIABILTY CLAUSE: The Ski Travel Company does not accept any liability of whatever nature for the acts, omissions, or default (whether negligent or otherwise) of those properties/suppliers providing services in connection with your reservation pursuant to a contract between them and yourselves and over whom we have no direct and exclusive control. The Ski Travel Company, its respective servants, agents and employees shall not be liable for any death, injury, damage, loss, property (including baggage), additional expenses, accident, delay or irregularity, whether in property, person or otherwise resulting directly or indirectly from delay, changes in accommodation, breakdown in equipment or vehicles, weather, strike, sickness, theft, cancellation of or changes in itinerary, or other causes beyond their control. The Ski Travel Company reserves the right to alter the price, cancel or withdraw any property, component, service or tour.
The information we collect:
When you make a booking via the Ski Travel Company web site or sign up for our newsletter, we need to collect information about you to process the transaction and fulfil your order. This information includes, but is not limited to, details such as your name, your contact details (email, phone, fax) and your credit card details. When you submit a request via our email support forms, we also collect your name and email so that we may respond to your request or query as quickly as possible.

If you have opted to sign up for the newsletter offered by our website, you will occasionally receive updates from us about special rate offers, newsletters and any noteworthy changes to the website. You may opt out of receiving this information at any time.

We disclose your information to third parties (such as our hotels) only for the purpose of completing your transaction with us, providing the above services to you and for the purposes of associated administration.
Unless otherwise prohibited by law or our contractual obligations, we may disclose personal information if required to do so by law, court order, or as requested by a governmental or law enforcement authority, or in the good faith belief that disclosure is otherwise necessary or advisable. Such situations may include: to perform, maintain or enforce contracts with our customers; to protect the rights or properties of Ski Travel Company, our business affiliates, our customers, or others; or when we have reason to believe that disclosing the information is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be causing, or who may be threatening to cause, interference with or damage to our rights or properties, whether intentionally or otherwise; or when anyone else could be harmed by such activities.
Like most web sites, there is certain information we automatically track, including the URL that you just came from, the browser you are using and your IP address. This data is utilized to improve the services of Ski Travel Company and does not include any personally identifying information.
Our commitment to data security
While being transmitted over the Internet, your credit card details are protected using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. Credit card details are only used to pay for accommodation booked through our service. These details are stored securely at all times, are not used for any other purpose and will never be provided to any un-authorised third parties.
We may, from time to time, use "cookies" to store your preferences, record session information and collect information on how you visit and access our Web pages. We collect information on the Web pages visited by our customers in order to help us to continue improving our services.
When does Ski Travel Company send you emails?
After you have made a booking, you will receive a confirmation message with all the information about your booking. After your stay at the hotel, we may send you a guest review survey, which we appreciate to be filled in by you. This completed guest review may be uploaded onto the relevant hotel’s information page on the Ski Travel Company website for the purpose of informing (future) customers of your opinion of the service (level) and quality of the hotel. To the extent that you have "Opted in" you may receive from time to time our newsletter or other information.

We at Ski Travel Company work hard to provide our clients with the best possible rates in all our products. From time to time, we will send our members newsletters, updates and specials for hotels in certain areas. You will only receive this correspondence if you have chosen to do so and we hope that you will find these items informative and useful. However, should you choose to not receive them in the future, you will have the ability to unsubscribe from the mail database by clicking on the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email.
